Brazilians and Arabs to meet at Anuga
Arab Brazilian Chamber will have a pavilion at one of the world’s largest food trade fairs to run in Cologne, Germany, from October 5 to 9. It’ll have room for five exhibitors.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commercewill participate in Anuga, one of the world’s largest food trade shows, from October 5 to 9 in Cologne, Germany. The Chamber’s mission is to connect Brazilians and Arabs wherever they are, and Germany has a large Arab community estimated at 500,000 people. Brazil, in turn, is a big producer of halal food, which means proper for Muslim consumption.

Anuga is a fair that has ran every second year for 100 years. The last one was held in 2017(pictured). The show expects to attract around 165,000 visitors from 198 countries, as well as 7,400 exhibitors.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber’s pavilion will have room for five companies, which will be benefited from an individual stand, material on dealing with Arabs, a translator, support from the Chamber’s staff, promotion material, and others. It’s worthy reminding that exhibitors won’t show their products only to Arab businesspeople but for attendees from all over the world.

Last year, the Chamber participated in Sial Paris, France, another large worldwide food trade show, which runs in alternate years to Anuga. The Chamber hosted theArab Halal Dayin partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). It was a mix of a barbecue and B2Bs at the stands of the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (ABIEC) and Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA).

In 2019, the Arab Brazilian Chamber participated in Anufood in São Paulo, a food trade show held by Anuga’s organizers. The Chamber took Arab suppliers and importers to the event.

The Arab countries are the top market of Brazilian beef and poultry abroad and the second largest market of Brazilian agribusiness. Agribusiness exports to the Arab world grossed USD 4.6 billion year-to-date through July, up 9% year-over-year, the Arab Brazilian Chamber reported. Meats accounted for USD 2.2 billion, up 27.5% year-on-year.
