Brazil the third biggest supplier to Bahrain in April

As per numbers made public by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) of Bahrain, imports of goods from Brazil amounted to USD 73.7 million.


Bahrain eased its imports in April, still Brazil was its third biggest international supplier, as per information made public by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) this Tuesday (2).

The Arab country in the Gulf imported BHD 362 million Worth of goods, or USD 953.5 million at current exchange rates. The number is down 19% from April 2019. The iGA reported that the 10 biggest suppliers accounted for 68% of total imports to Bahrain last month.

Brazil was one of the three biggest suppliers to Bahrain in April. China placed first at BHD 61 million (USD 160 million). Saudi Arabia was second at BHD 30 million (USD 79 million), and Brazil ranked third at BHD 28 million, or USD 73.7 million, the iGA reported.

The most imported item to Bahrain was aluminum oxide at BHD 24.4 million (USD 64.2 million), followed by agglomerated iron ores and concentrates at BHD 24 million (USD 63.2 million) and four-wheel drive cars third at BHD 16 million (USD 42 million).
